About Us
The College Market has lasted many iterations throughout the years. From a marketplace, to a bookstore, to a coffeehouse; the shop has survived as a staple of the community.
Before being purchased by Bart Nawotniak in 2013, the coffee shop had closed due to retirement in July of 2012. It has since then been a booming hot spot for students and ISU faculty, as well as community members, to study and meet up.
While coffee has been a mainstay at The College Market for a while, Bart’s ownership of the shop came with the addition of lunch paninis, breakfast sandwiches, salads, wraps, and more.
Now, The College Market thrives through community support, hosting local events, and pouring delicious coffee. Their White Spider espresso roast from Snake River Roasting is a favorite among even the harshest of critics. This shop even brings in tastes of New York with their diverse selection of flavored coffee from Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters.

“Great indoor seating, shady outdoor seating with a lovely view of the neighborhood… Their coffee is fantastic, and my favorite thing about it is that they always get it right.”

What People Are Saying
“I came here a couple times while visiting my cousin, and it's my favorite coffee spot in Pocatello. Lots of room and quiet atmosphere--it's great for getting some work done. The coffee is good, and they have awesome egg wraps. Two thumbs up.”

“Stopped here on the way through town to get a late lunch. So tired of burgers and fries we wanted something different. The paninis were great, the coffee was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. They have a great selection of games and books which gave the kids something to do while we enjoyed our coffee. Now with our bellies full and our energy revived we are ready for the final leg of our trip home”

“Good short menu of food items (it's always a mistake for a coffee shop to have a huge menu in my opinion) + pastries. They have a panini press which makes for even better sandwiches. Their coffee is better than most in Pocatello. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere.”
